Our History

Zimmer of Canada Limited was the first Zimmer subsidiary located outside of the United States, having been incorporated under the Ontario Business Corporations Act on February 10, 1964. Zimmer Canada continues to maintain operations as a division of Zimmer, Inc. located in Warsaw, Indiana.

The first Canadian facility was located at 150 Skyway Avenue in Rexdale, Ontario in approximately 5,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The company progressed at that location from 1964 to 1972 and, at that time, moved to 106 East Drive in Brampton, Ontario. We remained there until July 1987, at which time we relocated to our new 52,000 square foot facility located at 2323 Argentia Road in Mississauga, Ontario. This facility includes a 36,000 square feet warehouse, enabling us to provide next-day delivery of our products throughout most of Canada.

Zimmer Canada has been a leader in orthopaedics in the Canadian marketplace for over 35 years and continues to provide quality joint replacement, fracture management and patient care products as well as value-added service to its customers through our network of independent distributors and our staff inMississauga.
